Our client is the number one credit insurer in the world. Its business model uses heavily information on
companies and scoring mechanism to allow for risk underwriting decisions, which results in coverage for our client insured
against the risk of not being paid.

Our clients relies on a bespoke system used by all operating entities covering more than 40 countries.

The information system is provided by our clients IT Credit Intelligence Domain as two main systems.
One of them, the new target system, provides a set of microservices running in the AWS Cloud and aims both to cover the
legacy functional scope and to redesign and implement the current client business requirements. It heavily uses AWS
managed services such as Kinesis, EMR, Fargate, DynamoDB and Lambdas, all deployed with Terraform. A front-end
client built with Angular provides the GUI.

The legacy system, has been designed in 1999 and has been rolled out in all markets over 10 years.
Its front-end client is built with ASP and vanilla HTML/JS running on IIS while the business logic is handled with Cobol
running on CICS on AIX, Java components and relational IBM DB2 databases. The complete system runs on-premise
and is perceived as stable and reliable.

Both systems run concurrently and solutions must be designed to maintain the system stability and resiliency while
ensuring that we steadily move to the target architecture.

As application Events Developer, you are in charge of the implementation of microservices responsible of consuming AWS
Kinesis streams and make data available to IRP.
